About DirtRich Permaculture
If you are not already familiar with Permaculture, then there might be a few things it’s best to cover in advance.

1. “Permaculture (permanent agriculture) is the conscious design and maintenance of agriculturally productive ecosystems which have the diversity, stability, and resilience of natural ecosystems. It is the harmonious integration of landscape and people providing their food, energy, shelter, and other material and non-material needs in a sustainable way. Without permanent agriculture there is no possibility of a stable social order.”
Bill Mollison, “Permaculture: A Designer’s Manual”

2. “Permaculture design is a system of assembling conceptual, material, and strategic components in a pattern which functions to benefit life in all its forms.”
Bill Mollison, “Permaculture: A Designer’s Manual”

3. Sustainability- “A sustainable system produces more energy than it consumes so that there is enough in surplus to maintain and replace that system over the lifetime of its components. Permaculture looks to gain a surplus in order to increase the diversity and fertility of the system while providing our needs. We look beyond sustainability."
Geoff Lawton, “ Introduction to Permaculture”

Committed to helping you achieve your yard's potential:
The urban and suburban landscapes offer a huge potential for production. Designed properly, one square yard of urban space will produce more than one square yard of rural space. This is because we use the space limitations to create more opportunities for growth. Our strategies of companion planting and diversity allow us to produce over a longer period, and buffer against the inconsistencies of modern weather patterns.
"Eric with Dirtrich Permaculture has been wonderful to work with. He is detailed, creative and our family is very excited about what our space will become.

Eric answered all of our questions fully and in detail. He is patient with our concerns and always had thoughtfull options to address those concerns. He is professional, efficient and stands by his word. We are very confident in all of Eric's recommendations.

We highly recommend Eric and Dirtrich Permaculture, to our friends and family as we know they will be amazed with Eric's services."

The designer at DirtRich Permaculture has received his Permaculture Design Certification, with Geoff Lawton from The Permaculture Institute. Eric's certification number is 10821.
